A New Partnership!

The Pastor’s Soul is excited to announce our new partnership with Pastor-in-Residence Ministries (PIR). They exist to restore hope to “at-risk” and exited pastors by partnering with God and the church. I am excited to join them in this good and important work.

PIR works with pastors who have been forced out of ministry (exited) and provides a unique and proven process of restoration and renewal. This process uses “refuge churches” to fulfill their mission:

PIR Ministries helps exited pastors navigate vocational transition
by providing a caring and restorative environment.

PIR is featuring The Pastor’s Soul on their website ( This will help get our message of helping churches care for their pastor to many more churches. Pastor-in-Residence Ministries

(M.Div. Grand Rapids Theological Seminary) is the director of The Pastor’s Soul, and pastor at First Baptist Church in Tustin, Michigan since 2001. A third-generation pastor, he grew up listening to pastors and their families talk about the realities of ministry. Now he wants to use this knowledge to bless the church. Sean is married to Amy, a poet, and freelance book editor. Together, they have one son.
